We are seeking a licensed architect or a graduate architect with 5+ years’ experience and a qualified construction inspector. If licensed, this person may be considered for advancement into firm management.

Our current services include a wide range of projects from small renovations to large commercial projects with an emphasis on commercial, multifamily, schools, state and local governmental entities. Senior Project Architect/Project Manager Job Description:

Senior Project Architect/Project Manager with a design background and a minimum of 10-15 years production and management experience in retail, commercial, and office buildings. (Must meet this requirement.) Individual must be well organized, have strong time management skills, be able to manage a project team as well as produce own work, be willing to take responsibility, and be able to multi-task and function well individually and in a team environment. Successful candidate will be involved in Design, Construction Documents, Plan Check, Construction Administration and must willing to contribute to any other project related tasks as required.

Senior Project Architect/Project Manager Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the production of construction drawings retail, commercial, and office buildings, as well as construction administration,
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit,
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable and updated building codes,
  • Experience managing project team,

  • A minimum of 3-8 years working experience from Master Planning through Construction Documents.
  • The ability to conceptualize and develop designs on your own and with others through digital and physical models.

  • Must be extremely proficient with Google Sketch-up and Adobe Design Suite CS5, knowledge of 3D Studio Max and Rhino also helpful
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD

Facility Planning & Control Project Manager

Salary Range:  $30.24 to $52.99 hourly or $5,242.00 to $9,185.00 monthly.

Minimum Qualifications:  Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice professional engineering or professional architecture plus six years of professional level experience in architecture or engineering.

Job Description:

Function of Work:
To act as project manager on a portion of all capital outlay projects statewide totaling approximately 600 projects (35 to 40 projects per manager) at $1.3 billion from inception of request through budget development, programming, design, construction, completion, and warranty.

Supervision Received:
Administrative direction from Facility Planning and Control Senior Project Manager, or State Budget Manager, or equivalent or higher-level administrator.

Capital Outlay:
Reviews and evaluates the technical and financial feasibility of requests from state and non-state agencies for capital outlay funds and recommends action.

Overall Position Duties:

  • Coordinates new construction with statewide building program.
  • Verifies user agency’s needs and availability of existing facilities.
